Jose Enrique Calvo Elhauge

Enrique Calvo was an intern at the Albert Shanker Institute. He has extensive experience with political campaign work, organizing and both archival and policy research.

Calvo worked at the Albert Shanker Institute between June 2017 and June 2018. He has previously managed the successful re-election campaign of a state representative in Connecticut, worked as a door-to-door organizer for the Working Families Party in New York and provided substitute instruction at a middle school in Massachusetts.

Calvo has a B.A. in history and Iberian studies and a certificate in international relations from Wesleyan University, where he established two sustainable student groups and designed and co-led a student-led service-learning course.
