Callie Lowenstein has taught in dual language public schools in NYC, Oakland, and, most recently, Washington, DC. She has also spent several years in international education research in India, West Africa, and Latin America, and several years supporting teacher preparation here in the US. She is currently writing a book with Routledge on the interweaving of cognitive literacy research and culturally sustaining and critical pedagogies. @calliepatton
