Join AFT President Randi Weingarten for a timely conversation with journalist Dashka Slater about her book, Accountable. Through the lens of a real incident at a California high school involving a racist social media account, Slater examines how students, educators and a community grappled with harm, responsibility, and the consequences of actions taken in online spaces.
Together, they’ll explore what accountability can and should look like in schools, how digital culture complicates discipline and justice, and what this story reveals about race, responsibility and growing up under constant public scrutiny.
