While not directly sponsoring this important event, ASI have been very involved in coordinating a number of screenings of American Agitators ;which captures the remarkable story of organizing for change in the U.S. through the work of Fred Ross, Sr and many others, all of whom have devoted their lives to pursuit of justice and equality. The documentary demonstrates the power of member led movements built through personal contact, listening, methodical follow up and an understanding there are no shortcuts. After the screening there will be a call to action in building collective courage and self-determination to take up the organizing challenge to preserve democracy.
