Barbara R. Davidson

Barbara R. Davidson is President of StandardsWork, Inc. and serves as Executive Director of the Knowledge Matters Campaign. She is a former classroom teacher of learning-disabled students who has worked for more than 30 years to advance the role that high-quality curriculum plays in supporting teacher excellence, the importance of building students’ background knowledge of the world, and the case that specific evidence-based instructional practices can provide needed octane for learning. Davidson was editor, with Mike Petrilli and Kathleen Carroll, of the recently published, “Follow the Science to School:  Evidence-based Practices for Elementary Education.”
