Dan Kliber
Educator, Activist
Dan’s heart is genuinely in education. In 2000, he returned as a proud alumnus to teach at his former high school. He became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2013 to challenge himself without leaving the classroom. Dan has stepped up to be a leader at many levels. He develops and delivers schoolwide and district professional development and has committed years of work focused on the LGBTQIA+ student community. He formerly served as a chairperson for the Gay, Lesbian Straight Education Network-Pittsburgh. In his district, he began and maintained student-led Gay-Straight Alliances. National Board Certification helped build the confidence and leadership skills he possesses today.
